Dominica Hurricane Relief

In 1982, the Rusticus family moved to the island of Dominica. I (Jeremy) was only 2 years old at the time and Andy was only a couple of months old. We lived on the island for nearly 4 years, and during that time came to love and appreciate the people, the culture, and everything that is the island. It had a dramatic impact on my worldview and how I approach life - and I know without a doubt that it was the same for Andy.

On September 18th, category 5 Hurricane Maria directly hit the island of Dominica. In the hours preceding the impact, the hurricane rapidly intensified, leaving little time for the residents of the island to prepare. The damage has been catastrophic and the people of the island need our help.

We want to help and we want to ask you to help as well. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible through the Andrew Elliott Rusticus Foundation so that all money can go directly to the rebuilding efforts on the island. Depending on how much we raise we will do one of two things, either: 1) directly purchase and send building supplies to the island, or 2) send our funds to a reputable organization providing relief efforts on the island.
